Craigslist is designed to connect sellers with buyers in a straightforward no frills package. When you first load the main page you are immediately struck by the simplicity of the design and layout. This simplicity in design makes it easy to navigate your way around. It’s pretty simple to find your country and region and genre of goods or services you require with just a few mouse clicks.
Craigs list grew from simple word of mouth classified ad service to a million dollar business almost a decade after it began in 1995.It is estimated to have a turnover today in 2007 of approx $150million.
Ebay owns approximately 25%,while the other two principal owners Newmark and Buckmaster own a big majority (It is believed that Newmark holds the largest stake).
